Yale Digital Door Lock New Pricelist with Extended Warranty

This is the latest update on Yale's new structure. 

Extension of Warranty 
With effect from 1st April 2013, all Yale digital door lock will have 1 year onsite warranty and the second year of free parts warranty. This will mean that the second year, if there is any problem with the digital door lock, Yale will provide free replace parts and a minimal fee of  $53.50 [incl GST] will to charge to cover transport and labour. This is Yale's new commitment to their products, as Samsung has implemented this since early 2012.

New Price Structure is also observed in the new price list.
For YDM 4109, YDR 4110 will see a increment of $11, this is due to upgraded hardware. While on the other hand YDM3109 and YDR3110 saw a price reduction of $189 and $89 due to large volumes in project and recovering of the R&D cost.

Also, noted are the launch of 2 models YDG313 at Q1 and YDR333 at Q2

Door Closer are very common item for fire-rated doors. However, this also give users a lot of inconvenience as they are not able to keep still & always get themselves caught in the closing.

Thus in this posting, we will like to take some time to introduce this new gadget call the Hold-Open Arm. In the animation below, we had exhibit that the Hold-Open device snaps and hold in position. This function come in handy when you are moving in, carrying larger items like shopping bags or just when u feel like having ventilation.

This positions can be adjusted to any position as long as it does not have obstruction. eg. the wall. This Device also becomes the best gadget when the door could not install an magnetic stopper.

Toh Tuck Avenue with Yale Biometric Digital Door Lock - May 10

Biometric Digital locks have been in our market for around 5years. Earlier models made its entry with those 25 x 25mm glass panel that scans our thumb with a red light. 

In late 09, Yale launched its 1st Biometric digital door lock in Singapore with the latest EasyScan One-Touch Fingerprint Verification that uses a swipe action.

Being a Yale distributor, we are excited about this product as much as this Tech savvy home owner in Toh Tuck.

 

Due to the condo's requirement, we are not allow to change the main entrance door, the  couple still managed stain the door wenge & add a touch of tech.

Yale YDM4109 comes with multiple mode of entry, either via EasyScan One-Touch Fingerprint Verification, Numeric password on Smart Touchpad or High-security Mechanical Key.

The Yale YDM4109 also stepped up a level among the Korean competitors by integrating its German Mortice into the electronics.

Types of locks for main entrance doors

When it comes to choosing the locks for your entrance doors, upon aesthetics, each individual styles does have different functions and applications.

1. Gripset, aka bored lock or Entrance Handleset. As this lock is mostly given by HDB, its one of the most common lock in Singapore context. Key operates bolt on the top, while thumb triggers activate the latches. Typical cyclic tested for 200,000 cycles

2 & 3. European Profile Mortices is probably the second most common locks in residential & commercial. Typical cyclic tested for 500,000 cycles and are fire-rated approved. Lever styles has many varieties, on Rosette 2 or on Plate 3. This is also very versatile as components are interchangable. High-security cylinders with special keys are widely available on European profile platform, do speak with us for more details


4. ANSI Mortice Entrance set is made well known by Baldwin in Singapore, commonly seen in older condominiums projects. This look is highly robust, cyclic tested for 800,000 cycles. Look is also configure in Slam Shut while Passage function is temporary available.  ANSI can only be installed in minimum 45mm doors thus unsual in HDB estates.


5 & 6, Pull handles recently got popular in Residential areas, which we only seen them in shopping centres or office entrance. Pull handles comes in different lengths, thus positions of cylinder can vary. Common pull handles will sit on European profile roller lockcases, however occasionally on deadbolts for budget consumers. High-security cylinders with special keys are widely available on European profile platform, do speak with us for more details

Digital door locks are also getting popular with entry modes of either magnetic keys, RFid cards and Biometrics. This lock had created added convenience of not carrying keys to open the doors. 


7. Digital lock on pull handles are common for Condominium as apartments comes with pull handles and owners get a ADD-ON digital rim lock to be installed above the pull handles.

8. Also in Luxurious Condominiums, developers includes this lock as it shares the same platform for access cards to apartment locks. Thus reducing the hassle of keys or many cards.
Lever handle will sit on a mortice and bigger brands does offer Key-overwrite and even European mortice.
